Vidya Shakti aims to provide social, academic & financial support for quality education of the girl child. In India, more than 2 million girls are out of school while 53% of girl students in the age group of 5-9 years drop out of school due to lack of support from their families. A famous man once said ‘ Give me an educated mother and I will give you an educated nation’. Girls’ education is necessary for making their homes a happy place and hence ties in with Shubham’s key goal of providing better homes to people. However, there are numerous systemic issues that remain to be resolved in order to achieve sustainable change in education for girls. Vidya Shakti is just our first step towards achieving a larger goal!
